2013 Gibson SG 61 Standard – Classic White

Like the greatest SGs ever made, the SG Standard starts with a foundation of solid mahogany, a tonewood with a long tradition at Gibson. A solid mahogany body is crafted in the distinctive, thin asymmetrical dual-cutaway style, with iconic pointed “horns” and beveled edges to enhance playing comfort. A solid, Grade-A, quarter-sawn mahogany neck is glued into the body in Gibson’s time-tested tradition, and carved to a fast, slim taper profile. It is topped with a bound fingerboard made from genuine Grade-A dark rosewood with 22 medium-jumbo frets, and acrylic crown inlays.

Beautiful, resonant, presents extremely well. Comes in original Gibson hard case with COA, other papers from the factory.

Condition is 9/10 for light wear, not quite pristine, a beautiful player grade instrument, better than excellent. Setup on 10’s, weighs in at only 7lb and 1oz.

Condition

Very light play wear with light impressions in the lacquer, plastics. Nitro finish is in excellent shape with no chips, cracks or dings. Nitro has not yellowed in any discernable way, no real checking, looks great – if you’ve seen a few of these then you know the terrible things that can happen to white nitro.
