1994 Fender Standard STD-57 Stratocaster – MIJ – Fuijijen Japan
A proper vintage MIJ Japan Fender Stratocaster STD-57 from the famed Fujijen factory sometime between 1994 and 1996 with an E# serial, where all the lawsuit Ibanez and high-end Greco were made. This one has its original finish looking great, with light play wear, a few light marks and impressions, one or two light scratches, but otherwise looking stellar for a 30-year-old instrument. The original pickguard was white and very warped, replaced with this excellent looking tortoiseshell one from Pickguard Planet, a great looking and high-quality piece.
Weighs 7lb and 14oz and is setup on 10’s, comes in a deluxe padded Fender gig bag with the tremolo arm and original pickguard.
Condition is 8/10 for general aging (gracefully), non original parts, light patina.
Condition
Light play wear, excellent, aesthetically and sonically. It looks and feels amazing, aging nicely with some patina of the hardware and finish, one or two small flaws in the clear, but overall, it’s amazingly clean considering the age of the instrument. Stock except for the pickguard. Lots more pictures of this one at my site, deegearlocker dotcom, ask for more.
